Robert Beardall, PhD
Dr. Beardall has a broad medical and leadership background with over 26 years experience in clinical preventive medicine and population health improvement. He has an extensive background in personal health improvement programme design, implementation and delivery as well as ongoing management and improvement. Critical skills and experience in the bimolecular drivers of health and aging, epidemiology, health behaviour change, applied bioinformatics and biotechnology provide a unique, practical understanding of the biological determinants of healthspan, age related disease and wellbeing.
The primary goal of Dr Beardall’s Lab is to conduct translational research through a comprehensive model of healthspan optimisation utilising lifestyle-related interventions including nutrition, fitness, stress management, sleep, interpersonal relationships and other determinants of health and wellbeing. Intermediate outcome measures involve a comprehensive set of standardized measures, epigenetic and physiological biomarkers to assess the clinical effectiveness of interventions, monitor metric improvement progress and provide ongoing feedback for individual clients as well as to inform programatic improvements in the model of care. Hopefully, derived insight will help inform health policy in the realm of clinical preventive services and population healthspan management.
